Rockhampton Botanic Gardens and Zoo | Brand Strategy, Identity, Guidelines, Wayfinding and Interpretive Strategy and Signage
As part of a long-term progressive redevelopment of the Rockhampton Botanic Gardens and Zoo Goldi undertook brand strategy work and created a new identity for this local tourist attraction that reflects the importance of history and legacy of the gardens. A wayfinding and interpretive strategy focused on building brand recognition and seamless visitor experience from pre-visit through every area of the site. The design integrates landmark signage at key gathering points to create a strong sense of place complimented by highly functional wayfinding signage throughout the gardens and zoo.
The Complex | Wayfinding & Signage | Ashe Morgan
Goldi is designing the wayfinding signage for a $20m upgrade and repositioning of an entire city block in the Brisbane CBD. Comprising over 52,000 sqm spread across two commercial towers and an iconic heritage listed building fronting Anzac Square (140 Creek Street, 295 Ann Street and 232 Adelaide Street). The project involves new podium facades to each street elevation, a dramatic five storey glazed atrium connecting the three buildings, landscaped courtyard and a comprehensive interior refurbishment of the lobbies, end of trip facilities and retail across 3 interconnected ground levels.
Nambour Hospital Redevelopment | Wayfinding, Signage and Graphics | Conrad Gargett | Sunshine Coast Health
The $86m Nambour Hospital Refurbishment is aimed to better service the growing health needs of the local community through upgrading existing facilities to create new and contemporary environments. The scope included an audit of existing signage and review of circulation and orientation issues. Along with a signage program for new areas, a suite of graphic murals with local floral motifs was introduced to provide landmark transition areas in circulation spaces, and as strong visual identification for new department entrances.
Ferny Grove Central Transit Orientated Development | Wayfinding & Signage | Honeycombes Property Group
A vibrant mixed-use Transit Orientated Design precinct adjacent Ferny Grove Station including a supermarket, cinema, childcare, gym, retail and apartments. The development also provides for a large number of commuter carparks to services train and bus patrons. Goldi is working in conjunction with stakeholders to meet all requirements, while delivering a high standard of design and contributing to the vibrancy of this community node.
Townsville Marine Tourism Precinct Wayfinding Signage | Honeycombes Property Group
A new precinct in the heart of Townsville, providing a new ferry terminal, an integrated transport and tourism hub, 76 room hotel including signature restaurant, retail,dining and convenience tenancies, plus a 450 space multi-level car park. The strategy and signage addresses the location, user groups and guidelines for the Waterfront precinct. The design draws on inspiration from sub-tropical and marine references, and has a material palette suitable for the harsh coastal environment.
Sports Science Placemaking Graphics | Federation University, Ballarat Campus
Goldi was commissioned to design place-making graphics complement the refurbished and extended Sport Science building at the Mt Helen Campus, Ballarat. The graphics include large painted wall graphics to the entry to creating an inspiring first impression, coupled with feature graphics to breakout spaces that reflect the function and aspiration of the building and it’s occupants in sport, allied health and community involvement. A graphic to a triple height atrium creates a dramatic focal point, with human figures emerging from the wall in sculptural 3D blades.
